Art is a language without words.

Kate Kabissky, born in Moscow and immigrated to Israel, discovered her passion for colors and shapes at an early age. Her artistic journey commenced with childhood experiments in painting and sculpting, eventually leading her to a diverse professional career that spanned graphic and interior design, as well as art direction. Kate Mother Natalia  loves to share this story about how Kate was that kid who always had a paintbrush or plasteline in hand, creating vibrant drawings and small sculptures with plasteline..

Kate gained experience in various art schools, one of the earliest being a classic, old-school institution in Moscow. Initially taking diversions to explore various techniques, she also delved into the Israeli school of figurative drawing, where her focus shifted to the human body and the intricacies of working with oils. Her exploration also extended to sculpting, using clay to mold body shapes inspired by live models. One significant influence was a visit to Florence during her artistic pursuits. Living in Malta, with its stunning white stone city and blue lagoons, sparked a passionate interest in travel and exploring art globally. Eventually, this journey led her back to her roots, where she found herself diving into the realm of captivating ceramic sculptures and abstract forms.

Upon her arrival in Israel, Kate felt an immediate spiritual and physical reconnection, she had found her true home as if she had found the missing piece of her soul. Surrounded by the vibrant culture and lively energy of Israel, she felt an immediate sense of belonging, a feeling that seeped into her very bones and influenced every stroke of her art.  Motivated by the country's vibrant heritage and modern vitality, Kate seamlessly incorporated these dynamic influences into her creations, infusing her pieces with a heartfelt connection to her surroundings.

For Kate, art serves as a bridge that unites people, fostering understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural intricacies that define our world. Influenced by Israel's sense of unity and warmth, Kate's art aims to connect. She believes that art is a universal language that transcends cultural, linguistic, and geographical barriers. It speaks directly to the heart, evoking emotions and connecting people in ways that words alone cannot capture.

Kate sees art as a powerful tool allowing artists to express ideas, emotions, and perspectives in a way that is accessible to people from all backgrounds. Through her own work, she has explored themes such as nature, identity, and spirituality, using the medium of ceramics and mixed media to convey her ideas to a global audience.
