As I put the finishing touches on my painting under the stars of Friday night, an unimaginable tragedy unfolded in Israel a few hours later. A music festival for peace, 'Supernova,' became the stage for a heart-wrenching event where 260 beautiful young souls were taken by an unspeakable evil...
Strangely enough, that very day, my emotions were a whirlwind of worry and sadness. I was on the edge, almost screaming my heart out through those vibrant strokes.
As I danced and painted, trying to find solace in the rhythm, little did I know what was about to unfold. Just a few hours later, the news hit - Israel was under attack. The imagery of those young souls, full of life and laughter at the Supernova music festival, brutally snatched away, it shattered me. It felt like my painting had somehow captured a moment of peace and joy before the horrific horrors my country faced.
It was this intricate mix of vibrant colors, the serene sunset, and the dancing stars that came together on that canvas. It's only in hindsight that I see it as a reflection of the innocence that was lost that day. My painting inadvertently became a representation of that poignant moment, a glimpse of the beauty that was taken away too soon. It's these layers of emotion and experience that infuse my work, creating a narrative that goes beyond the strokes and hues, speaking to the delicate intricacies of the human spirit.
I found my artwork's meaning clearer than ever, as it mirrored the complex emotions I couldn't put into words that day…
I dedicate it to those beautiful souls whose memory will forever grace the canvas of our hearts 💙🇮🇱💙🙏🏻
